The main event takes place in Piazza della Signoria, the city’s historic center. Italian singer-songwriter Diodato will perform a selection of his songs, accompanied by a variety of other performers, including comedian-magician Andrea Paris, singer-songwriter Cecille, saxophonist Eleonora Fiorentini, pianist Xing Chang, and lyric singers Gianpiero Delle Grazie, Antonio Mandrillo, and Martina Tragni.
In Piazza San Giovanni, three gospel choirs will perform, representing local and international gospel music. The evening will also feature a countdown led by journalist and radio host Eva Edili.
In Piazza del Carmine, Anfiteatro 2010 will host a night of music, entertainment, and wishes. The event will collect wishes and hopes for the new year from Florentine citizens and tourists, which will be published on social media and read aloud in the square. The event will be hosted by Radio Bruno.
In Oltrarno and Piazza Santo Spirito, Music Pool will organize a marching band parade. Three bands, Fantomatik Orchestra, Sound Street Band, and Bandão, will play music throughout the streets of Oltrarno and Piazza Santo Spirito.
In Piazza Santissima Annunziata, Circolo Exwide will present a jazz concert featuring two of Italy’s leading jazz musicians, Nico Gori and Gianluca Petrella.
In Piazza Santa Croce, Toscana Classica will host a traditional Viennese ball. The orchestra will be joined by the Ensemble Quattro Corde of Odessa, Ukraine, to play polkas, mazurkas, tangos, and waltzes.
